Zellsis Is Marked MVP As Sentinels Win Their First Offseason Event

Sentinels felt the boredom of the Valorant community and decided to make an offseason event to spice things up. Here's all you need to know about their first event win in a while.

The Valorant OFF//SEASON is a period of the year in which the pros can find time to rest and prepare for the next season, at least most of them. Sentinels are the masters of content it seems and fail to miss any chance they can to engage with the community even when it is their time to rest.

Sentinels Finally Get A Lan Win

We are just 2 months away from the start of the regular season, and we are entering the last phase of the offseason where a lot of the cool events occur. Before Tarik X Ludwig Invitational, we had the privilege of witnessing a Sentinels Invitational with Tarik & Ludwig as part of the broadcasting talent crew. The participating teams of this event were Sentinels themselves topped with the "newcomers" G2 Esports & Moist x Shopify, and the not-so-new Oxygen Esports.

The tournament initially had a group stage from which the teams would later proceed into the playoffs. First place in the group stage grants the team direct passage to the finals, while the second and third place would have a battle between themselves to later join Sentinels and fight them for the prize money. Since this is an off-season event, and teams probably just did it for fun and didn't take it so seriously, not much was expected from the participants other than fun games & content farming.

Zellsis In, TenZ Out

We are sure you were more than hyped to see TenZ on a lan but there are things in life that we cannot control, and getting sick is one of them. The Sentinels roster from the beginning was supposed to spare Pancada from playing and get Zelssis in, but as things changed, Pancada was called back and TenZ had to sit this one out. Oxygen Esports was the team that surprised everyone and managed to get to the finals with ease. They managed to beat both G2 & MsX but couldn't grab a hold of the rebuilt Sentinels roster.

Here's how the group stage standings looked at the end:

1. Sentinels (3-0)
2. Oxygen Esports (2-1)
3. G2 Esports (1-2)
4. Moist x Shopify Rebellion (0-3)

And here's what the Playoff table looked like:

SemifinalsGrand Final
OXG 2-0 G2SEN 2-0 OXG

The event MVP was none other than the content king Zellsis, and it's safe to say that after that Viper performance in Game 1 of the Grand Finals, it was more than deserved. That's all you need to know about the only lan Sentinels managed to win throughout the year. Let's hope we see more of them once the season starts.
