This is a first in Valorant's history. We'll unveil the details of the upcoming weapon set to release in Episode 8!
In Episode 8, we're getting a new weapon in Valorant (Yep, that means more skins to collect). People are excited not just because it's the first new weapon, but also because of what makes it special.
Leaked: Sneak Peek of Valorant's Upcoming Outlaw Weapon
So far, the new Valorant weapon, Outlaw, has sparked different opinions. Fans of snipers are probably pretty excited. From what we've seen in pictures, Outlaw looks and acts like a sniper, but it also incorporates some elements of a shorty, shooting two bullets at once. Now, the main question is whether it works well both at long distances and medium ranges. We'll find out more details through additional leaks or when it officially comes out in Episode 8.
Price And Damage Output Of Outlaw
The price and damage stats for the Outlaw differ from the usual lineup. Priced at 2400 credits, it deals 140 body damage. In this cost range, the Outlaw is more affordable than typical buy-round weapons, but pricier than those commonly used in eco or bonus rounds.
Here's a breakdown of the prices for the other weapons in Valorant:
Looking at it, the Guardian is priced similarly. This might suggest that in situations where someone would usually go for the Guardian to save some credits, they could lean towards the Outlaw instead, possibly making the Guardian less popular.

Lately, in both esports and ranked matches, the Light Shield strategy is becoming more common. Players often choose a Light Shield and a buy-round weapon, especially among pros who prioritize landing that crucial first headshot. Regardless of the shield, a headshot means instant death and going for a Light Shield also saves 600 credits for the next round. In lower-ranked play, body shots are more of a threat. Now, with the new Outlaw weapon dealing 140 damage on a body shot, it becomes a quick solution against Light Shield users, even from a distance. Players are debating whether this is just another reason to get frustrated, or if it's finally an opportunity to counter the Light Shield meta. We'll find out soon.
