Sometimes when we play Fade on Ascent, it feels like this map is made for her ability kit. The enemy team might think they can throw some good smokes and take control of the mid, but just one throw of Fade's Haunt ability, and you can easily kill them all through the smokes and take control over any Spike Site you want. | © Riot Games
Having a good Killjoy on the Defenders' side on Ascent can be the MVP of the entire game, as she can effectively slow down the game and buy some time for her team if needed. Moreover, her abilities support one of the most essential points of Ascent, which is controlling the Mid-area; you can just throw your Turret or Nanoswarm and cover another angle! | © Riot Games
Brimstone's kit is heavily geared towards map control, making him a great pick on Ascent. On the defending side, you can use his abilities to skillfully block the opposing team's entry to Spike Sites, while on attacking you can take control of a specific area and help your Duelists collect those sweet entry frags! | © Riot Games
Viper is another Agent that can offer loads of map control with her kit, but she is also a nice pick for every player who loves intense tactical gameplay. Unlike Brimstone, you have access to a nice wall ability that you can easily abuse on Ascent, plus you have other abilities that can stop all potential rushes. Still, we think that Brimstone is a more versatile Controller pick, but Viper works as a super nice alternative, that's for sure. | © Riot Games
Reyna might actually be the best pick on Ascent, as you can be super rewarded by playing aggressively on this specific map. Overall, Jett seems like a more versatile Duelist, but Reyna really shines on Ascent with how fast she can get into Spike Sites and collect multi-frags. | © Riot Games
