A Twitter leak reveals that Riot has some quality of life changes planned for the Premier mode in Valorant for the next act.
With Premier, Valorant players have a tournament format available, allowing them to compete in teams and even ascend to higher tiers if they prove their talent. Since the Premier mode was recently in the Beta, there have been some player suggestions for improvement. The leak reveals that Riot will address these in Act 3.
Premier - Stage Episode 7 Act 3
The Twitter account Valorant Leaks & News revealed several changes, starting with the:
Premier Practice
Teams can queue for practice matches on select non-match days. These matches follow Premier match structure, but will not affect your Premier Score.
Enrollment Update
Team enrollment now runs for one and a half days. Teams created during, or before, this period will be able to recruit members and participate in Premier at any point in the Stage.
Timeouts
Every match, teams will have one timeout per side and an additional timeout in Overtime.
Playoff Seeding
Teams with higher Premier Scores will now have more favorable seeding in the Playoff Tournament.
Playoff Queue
There will now be a seeding period of 15 minutes for better matchmaking. Teams must lock in and stay queued during this window.
Premier Crests
Crests will now reflect your team's performance and evolve over the entire Stage
Overall, teams should now have a more enjoyable Premier phase, which may motivate more teams to participate, as all ranks are welcome. Maybe we'll also hear news about new rewards soon, who knows?
