Settings are usually a static thing in which you only change them once and they stay like that forever. But, if you're sharing an account with someone and want to adjust the settings for yourself it can be a hustle. Here's how you can change them all in one click.
The official Riot Game stance on smurfing and account sharing is that it's bad, and should be penalized. But as we all know it tends to slip through most of the time, and the only way to battle is that eventually with the RR system, the smurfs get to the bracket that they belong to very quickly. The number one problem in account sharing which is usually the case when your Ascendant buddy wants to play with you but he obviously can't because of his rank is just that.
Resetting Valorant Settings In Just One Click
If it's your first time doing it, it's fine, you will do it once and you won't bother googling about it ever again. There are two ways of resetting your Valorant settings, one is in-game and the other can be done outside of the game.
To Reset your Valorant Controls, do this:
- Open Valorant
- Click on the Settings Icon (top-right)
- Then on to Settings
- Head on to the Controls Tab
- On the bottom-left side of the screen, you will see "Reset To Game Defaults"
- Click on it, and then Confirm on the new window
This will reset all of your Valorant Controls to the game defaults, from which you can do whatever you want to customize them with ease. This will however not reset the other settings as it will only affect the gameplay controls.
To Reset your Valorant settings, do this:
- Open Windows Run, the hotkey is Windows button + R
- In the run window, input %localappdata% and click Enter
- This will open your Application Data local folder
- Here, search for the Valorant folder
- Delete it
After deleting the folder, just restart your Valorant and you will be back to "factory settings". With this, all of your settings including the Controls will be put to the game default. And that's pretty much it, both resets shouldn't take more than a minute to be done with, and you will save a lot of time by doing so as you won't need to check every setting in the game individually to make sure they are customized for your play style.
