What Is The Sentinels Valorant Roster?

If you asked NA Valorant fans in 2021 who their favorite teams were, chances are at least half would say Sentinels. Right now they've severely fallen out of form and with the new revamped roster, a comeback is to be expected.

Valorant is a game in which half of the fanbase still roots for a team that hasn't had an achievement in years. Sentinels are the "face" of Valorant, and even though they haven't even appeared on a major stage, they are still loved by many.

This off-season they've taken things seriously and done changes that promise a comeback once the regular one comes back. Their current roster is similar to the one they had in the previous season but some changes were made that are deemed crucial for the org to finally get back on stage and get some W's.

Sentinels History In Valorant

The org was founded in 2018, and entered the Valorant competitive scene on the 9th of March 2020. Their initial roster consisted of the famous streamers "sinatraa" & ShahZam, topped with TenZ on loan from Cloud9, together with these temporary standings: Dani, dizzy & dephh. They didn't really do much in terms of achievements in the beginning, and the roster soon fell apart and a new one was being built.

Sentinels reached their peak during VCT 2021 Stage 2 Masters Reykjavik and became the invincible team to win a Major without losing a single game. That achievement has been done only by Sentinels & Premier League club Arsenal. This is also TenZ's breakout season when he surprised everyone and was declared the GOAT of Valorant.

Sentinels's Champions Curse

Everything went into a downfall post-Reykjavik and the team tried everything possible to get back to their initial glory. Nothing notable happened after, except a few roster mixes that really surprised everyone. Remember this one?

Shroud's entrance to the Sentinels roster was received with "twitter ovations" and was one of the best PR moves Sentinels have done in their Valorant history. Nothing came out of that roster either, and with TenZ's hand injury, the roster was nowhere to be found on the competitive scene.

Sentinels Valorant Roster For 2023/2024 Season

Enough about what was going on before, and let's see who is Sentinels's hope for their comeback into the scene.

In this offseason, their first move was the extend TenZ's contract to one more year which is a smart move since TenZ has just come back from his injury and is expected to have a dominating next season. Their second one, and probably most important was signing johnqt as their new player and In-game leader. Mouhamed is a Moroccan wunderkind and has been scouted by a lot of teams during his stay at M80.

Currently Marved is still listed as part of their active roster, but recent rumors state that he is extremely close to signing with NRG, and an announcement is expected in the following weeks. To have their active roster complete, they needed a flex sub that would connect well with the team, and who other than Zellsis was on top of their wish list. This move finished their off-season shuffle, and this is the final roster that will be seeing next season, aiming to qualify for one of the major events.
