While we have had some amazing matches in the Challengers Open Qualifiers, the first major international event is very close! Of course, we're talking about LOCK//IN, a tournament that will not only feature the 30 franchised teams, but two Chinese organizations invited to play in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The winner of the event will give their region an extra spot for Valorant Masters set to be held in Tokyo, Japan, so while many teams won't show their big strategies just yet, there's still something to play for other than pride.

There's a lot of information to cover so let's not waste any more time.

VCT LOCK//IN - Schedule & Format

VCT LOCK//IN will kick off on February 13th, ending on March 4th. The event will be held at the Ginásio do Ibirapuera in São Paulo.

To accommodate 32 teams without making the tournament too long, it will be a grueling single-elimination event. It's going to be a Best-of-Three affair until the final four, where it'll transition into a Best-of-Five series.

Now, to avoid a lot of interregional matches to happen early and to give fans a taste of what future international events could nurture multiregional rivalries, a system has been put in place to let teams from different Leagues play against each other early on.

Essentially, the 32 teams have been broken down into two groups, which are segmented even further. They are called the Alpha and Omega sides of the bracket.
