Valorant has seemingly become a cesspool of weirdness for a lot of people. So much so, that even Redditors are complaining!
Imagine being so cringe that even Reddit is dunking on you. Well, that's exactly what's happening with the Valorant community, which is apparently filled with annoying e-daters, Sinatraa wannabe's, and more.
It's not a new or exclusive thing to Valorant itself, but it's oddly amusing how someone's voice tone has become so iconic that it ended up coining the term Valorant accent.
The sentiment is being shared in the aforementioned platform, with a thread made by u/Feeling_Ad_7949 titled "Why is valorant community so weird?" garnering over 3.5k upvoted, making it one of the most upvoted posts on the official Valorant subreddit in the past week.
Is The Valorant Community Weird?
In the post, Feeling Ad explained how he took a step back from the game these past couple of years and now is coming back to find it filled with all those obnoxious players no one really can't stand.
I haven’t played since the beta and I came back to dudes barking at females in lobbies and calling them mommy wtf? I have also been called daddy buy a grown ass female… Let’s not even talk about the cringe ass guys forcing their voices to sound like they got shot in the chest and they can’t talk. Is this normal or did i just have 0 luck in my games help?
Sadly, Feeling, it's a common occurrence to constantly run into people like that. Now, one thing would be having to deal with their annoying behavior as long as they kept things in the game, but sometimes even pros cross the line in terms of toxicity, and there are issues with AFKers that Riot can't seem to find a solution for.
One user, Major Fang, had an interesting take regarding the current player base attitudes in Valorant:
The younger crowd on it is a bunch of kids who got on the game during Covid so they weren’t socialized in society properly
