It looks like the EMEA region is in great shape at Valorant Champions Istanbul. During the 8th day of the tournament, we could see triumphs by Fnatic and FunPlus Phoenix, which guaranteed them a spot in the Playoffs.
Yesterday was the last day of Valorant Champions Istanbul Group Stage, and everyone knew that it's going to be super intense. We could watch two exciting duels, from which the representatives of the EMEA region (Fnatic and FunPlus Phoenix) came out victorious, winning both matches 2:0.
Fnatic & FunPlus Phoenix Qualify For The Playoffs
The first match we could watch was FunPlus Phoenix against KRÜ Esports. If you've been following the Valorant eSports scene for any length of time, you know that KRÜ Esports is the kind of team that likes to take a win against the favorite of the entire tournament.

However, unfortunately for them, this is not something that happened at Champions Istanbul. In the entire Group Stage, they only played one game against XERXIA Esports and lost twice against FunPlus Phoenix, ending their run in the tournament with a score of 1-2 (2-5 in maps).

And then we could watch Fnatic beating 100 Thieves. However, if you have watched Boaster's entry, it was clear that Fnatic is going to easily take it. Like, not even close.

If 100 Thieves won this match, they would join OpTic Gaming and XSET, and all NA teams would make it into Playoffs. Still, 100 Thieves was one of this tournament's underdogs, although it's hard to say that they are a weak team.
