Many did not expect this outcome and doubted Sentinels, but Sen won the AVL match against PRX with a 2-1 score. However, the question is how seriously Paper Rex took the match, as they substituted their players in every map and, let's say, played interesting comps (which is not new for PRX). Additionally, some things about Sentinels' roster appear to be officially confirmed now.

Valorant - The Matchup Between SEN and PRX

SEN's Performance And Roster Situation

We witnessed it. Zellsis played instead of pANcada, confirming that Zellsis will indeed be part of the official roster for VCT 2024. A tough situation for pANcada, but the match against PRX might be an early indication that it could have been the right decision. After all, they won against one of the best teams in the world, which has consistently made deep runs in the VCTs. Also, Zellsis has performed really well, securing some crucial clutches for the team.

What surprised many was seeing TenZ on Omen in the last two maps. Initially, it was assumed that Zellsis would take on the Smoker role from now on to fill pANcada's shoes. It seemed like TenZ wasn't entirely confident in his plays as smoker, so we'll see if he continues to practice and stay in that position or specializes in the initiator role.

PRX' Performance — Jinggg Surprises Fans With His Participation

Although SEN clearly won, it's worth mentioning that PRX may not have taken the matchup very seriously. On the first map, Breeze, they played with the official roster intended for VCT, including Monyet instead of Jinggg. In case you missed it, Jinggg unfortunately won't be participating in VCT due to his military obligations in Singapore.

However, in the second map, Sunset, we suddenly see Jinggg instead of Monyet. And as if that wasn't enough, in the third map, Monyet replaces Mindfreak. Obviously, they didn't want anyone to spend too much time on the bench that day, and everyone got a chance to have some fun.

PRX, however, only won the second map, where they played with their previous roster, including Jinggg without Monyet. Not a very good sign for the team looking ahead to the next VCT, but nothing is set in stone.

Nevertheless, it must be said that Jinggg delivered excellent performances in this match, and it's really enjoyable to watch the main Duelist in action. He played his renowned Raze on Sunset and Reyna on Haven, where he pulled off an impressive 4K clutch. It's a shame he won't be part of the team in the future. In any case, Monyet seems to adapt well to PRX's fast-paced playstyle.

Let's see what PRX is cooking for us in the losers bracket.

Tomorrow, we're excited to witness Team Liquid and Edward Gaming playing. If you'd like to catch the matches, you can tune in here.
