EMEA will be the region with the most slots at this year's Champions 2023. Who will be the last ones to get aboard to Los Angeles?
Fnatics victory at the 2023 Masters Tokyo, opened up an additional slot for an EMEA Team for the upcoming Champions 2023. Tickets are on sale, and the venues are ready to host the remaining teams that aspire to join others in LA.
Which Teams Are In EMEA's Last Chance Qualifier
Team Vitality also qualified for the LCQ, but due to Twistens passing, they rightfully decided not to participate in the qualifier. No one could take Twisten's place in the team, and the players are just not in the right shape to play after their dear teammate and friend passed away.
Rest in Peace Twisten, the Valorant community will forever remember you ♡.

These are the teams that will partake in the 2023 EMEA Last Chance Qualifier:
Team | Country | Slot Origin |
KOI | Spain | EMEA League 9th Place |
Natus Vincere | Ukraine | Masters Tokyo - Worst placed EMEA team |
Giants | Spain | EMEA League - 5th-6th Place |
BBL Esports | Turkey | EMEA League - 7th Place |
Team Heretics | Spain | EMEA League - 8th Place |
Karmine Corp | France | EMEA League - 10th Place |
Slot Origin is basically how the team qualified to have a slot at the Last Chance Qualifier. Since Fnatic won in Tokyo, the worst-placed team in Tokyo, got a slot. Na'Vi struggled big time in the group stage and got 11th Overall in Masters which meant they are the last team to go to Berlin. The others are basically the remaining teams that didn't qualify from their League.

VCT 2023 EMEA Last Chance Qualifier Format
Qualifiers will be played in a 6-team Hybrid elimination format. In this format, the teams that are seeded 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th will play in the Single Elimination Quarter Finals. The top two seeded teams will get a "def-win" and continue straight to the semifinal Upper Brackets. The games that are during and after the Semi-Finals will be double elimination.
The Lower Bracket Final and Upper Bracket Final games will be played Best of Five. Since two teams get the slot, there will be no need to play the Grand Finals, so the winners from the Upper bracket finals and Lower bracket finals will go directly to Los Angeles.
This is what the playoff table looks like right now.
Quarter Finals ( Single Elimination) Best of One | Upper Bracket Semi-Finals | Upper Bracket Finals | Qualified Teams |
